On the other side of the country, we have the current 49th President of the United States, John Smith. John Smith had won the election by a landslide despite being a third-party candidate, something that has never been done before. The American public felt a sense of safety voting for a presidential candidate who had the backing of the Chaos Computer Club. The Chaos Computer Club had slowly become one of the driving factors to the American government with its goals of democratic and digital rights. With the rise of the digital age came the overwhelming fear for abuse of technology by the government in order to keep the population of the world under control. The Chaos Computer Club naturally began to grow followers almost as if it was a cult under these growing fears eventually causing membership to spike given its globalization. The individuals were united under a single goal of maintaining people’s rights through hacking. The election of President John Smith signaled a sign of the end of people’s fears of oppressive government control with technology. President Smith’s campaign has been centered around the guarantee that Americans would finally be able to achieve equality. An assurance that was often left unfulfilled, President Smith had unveiled his plans to use the Chaos Computer Club to help police the levels of government almost as if it was the fourth branch in addition to the original three. With roaring support from the public, President Smith takes his first steps into the next four years hopeful of the future.
